Advocacy

Baby Milk Action - A non-profit activism organization which supports breastfeeding and strives for stricter control and enforcement of regulations related to the marketing of artificial baby milk. Baby Milk Action works within a global network to strengthen independent, transparent and effective controls on the marketing of the baby feeding industry.

World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action - Protects, Promotes and Supports Breastfeeding Worldwide Programs and resources to promote breastfeeding on a worldwide level.

Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative - The Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) is a global program sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to encourage and recognize hospitals and birthing centers that offer an optimal level of care for lactation. The BFHI assists hospitals in giving breastfeeding mothers the information, confidence, and skills needed to successfully initiate and continue breastfeeding their babies and gives special recognition to hospitals that have done so.

ProMOM – Promotion of Mother’s Milk A nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing public awareness and public acceptance of breastfeeding. Includes 101 Reasons to Breastfeed and 3-minute activism opportunities.

International Breast Milk Project - Donate your breast milk to orphaned children in South Africa!
